12-7-68 Bellarmine College, Louisville, KY

While this show has some unfortunate cuts and has a fair amount of hiss, the performance is very good. Billy was out sick and so we get just Mickey on the drums which is quite unusual during this period. The tape opens with a pretty Dark Star already in progress which is a nice one to listen to on a rain filled night. This segues into a nice Saint Stephen->The Eleven. The Death don't Have No Mercy that comes next has the first part missing which is sad considering how good the band is playing. That's It For The Other One->New Potato Caboose is mind blowing and features some great playing despite yet another cut at the beginning of That's It For The Other One. We then get what is currently the only known live version of the underrated Rosemary with a slight clip at the beginning again. The He Was A Friend Of Mine isn't all that good and has a bit chopped off the end. Hurts Me Too also has a chunk off the beginning but is pretty good nonetheless. Morning Dew->And We Bid You Goodnight ends the show with Morning Dew being high class while And We Bid You Goodnight has some bad harmony singing. All in all, this is a show not to be missed.
